This is one of those maps that anyone can tell that was well planned and designed, and also well executed. The idea behind the map is that you have infiltrated into a facility to get a special weapon. This map mixes a lot of our themes, but it makes it work well. The look and feel actually makes you feel like you’re inside some kind of secret facility. It’s a big map and you have to explore a lot to get what you need. If you want a long full experience, this map is for you.

Title: Dr. Mac´s Laboratory

This map combines a lot of our themes into this big “laboratory” with secret areas that you’ll have to discover (hint: use the teleporters). It works really well as a FFA map and even better when there is a lot of people (as I mentioned, it’s quite big, so the more the merrier). All of the areas seem to connect in the middle by an arena where you can fight everyone!

Title: Quake DM17 Remake

As the name and the description of this map point out, this map is inspired on the Quake DM17 map. It’s made of different platforms that float in the middle of space, and you’ll have to jump around them to get weapons. In some cases, you’ll need the help of some weapons to get to a platform above you (hint: you can double jump with some weapons…). Definitely a good map to try with friends, especially if you’re a Quake fan.

Title: Pokemon Arena

With the recent Pokemon Go fever, we’re happy to see that someone decided to make a Pokemon inspired map! As the one before, the map is also a series of platforms floating in mid air. There’s an arena in the middle and four other platforms surrounding it, each with the shape of a pokeball. If you want a nice Pokemon look and feel, this is your map.

Title: Jurassic Park-Final Chapter

The last chapter of a campaign inspired on the Jurassic Park movies! This map makes a great use of our Too Rockin’ theme. It’s quite a small campaign that might not take too long, but it’s still a fun one. As expected, you’ll find a few dinosaurs to fight, and at the end of the campaign, you’ll have to confront a boss, which is a T-Rex that has escaped the park!

Title: Controversial Experiments EP1

Lab maps are a classic type of map in Gunscape, and a classic well done is always a fun map. This is the case for this one! The premise is simple: you are sort of trapped in a lab where experiments went horribly wrong and now you have to find your way out and keep yourself alive! This map is well balanced and the design is quite fun. It’s a bit of a maze and you might find yourself going in circles at some points, but that only makes it more challenging, right?

Title: The Ancient Canyon

An arena type of map in the shape of a square. It reminded us a bit of those gardens in the front of mansions. It fits any type of FFA or Team game mode, which makes it quite interesting. We can’t wait to try it in different game modes! If you and your friends like small arenas where you can’t really hide and your only option is to fight, then you’ll enjoy this one.

Title: The St.Anne

As the name hints, this map is modelled after a ship. It’s a small map, but it’s well designed and it has different rooms that you need to investigate. Some of them have enemies, but others have useful weapons and ammo. We’d love to see this map as a campaign or maybe a bigger version of it, because we think it’d work really well!

This is a typical futuristic arena, which are always fun! In this map, there are three different levels where you can play, and also a couple of rooms with valuable weapons and ammo. It’s all connected by a rectangular arena in the middle level, where you can fight everyone! Play it in different game modes for a completely different experience.

A map inspired on Minecraft creepers! What we liked about this one is its look, because it has several creeper faces and also a whole creeper in the middle as well! This map is not only good because of the creepers though, as it’s well designed as well. With different platforms and jump-pads, even if the map is a bit small, you’ll have plenty of it to explore.

Title: Desert of Death Arena

A Team Fortress 2 inspired map! And also a really good sort of western map. You have two areas for teams, and a big desert arena in the middle of them. The look and feel of this map is pretty good, and the kind of weapons you get work well with the theme, but also with the environment. Get a weapon that will let you snipe or kill others from above, and you’ll also get the perfect spot to use that strategy.

Castle maps never get old when they’re good! This is the classic formula: you’re trapped in a castle full of nazis and now you have to defeat them, escape and ruin their plans! With a nice look and feel and a well balanced design, if this type of map is your favourite, we’re sure you’ll enjoy this one.

Another desert arena map! This map is quite big (or it looks like) and it’s a bit easy to get lost in it. Plus the description says there’s a secret room, which we didn’t find actually! But we’ll go back to it and hopefully find it. With a nice variety of weapons and different areas you can explore, this map is one you’ll definitely enjoy with a few friends.

Title: Star Hell-Awakening

A sort of futuristic map with a very weird path that will mess with your mind! At the beginning, you’ll find that there’s no specific path to follow and you kinda have to go with your instinct to get to the base waiting for you at the end. All of that while avoiding traps and fighting some enemies! You also get quite a bit of cool guns and powerful enemies hidden in some rooms. If you want a map that will surprise you, you’ll probably like this one!

As its name says it, this map is basically the map of a base and you will have to either defend it in co-op, or to fight others in it in FFA and team game modes! You get a nice variety of weapons and power-ups, which are very useful and placed on spots everyone can reach, so the gameplay ends up being pretty fair. Plus, it’s one of those maps that you can play on your own or with friends. Best of both worlds.

Title: East MESAS Apartment Complex

Our first impression of this map was… holy crap, it’s huge! Like the name says, it resembles an apartment complex, but this complex is big and well designed! Once you think you’ve explored it all, you’ll notice a new area or some part that you completely missed. As a hint, we’ll let you know that the map is not only focused on the buildings on the surface, but there are also underground areas that you might want to keep an eye on!

The description of this map says that it’s a Call of Duty Black Ops II Zombies inspired map and it certainly gives you the same feeling that you get when you play that map on CoD! This map is also a nazi factory with some zombies and a few other enemies for variety, and it even gives you similar weapons to what you get in the original game. And probably the best part is that it’s one of those maps that works in any kind of gameplay, play alone or fight your friends in this fun and well designed map!

This seems to be a sort of open world map and we’re very glad to see more of these! You do have a mission (assassinating the king), but you can also explore this huge open map that has a really cool look-and-feel.

Title: Mushroom Arena

I don’t know about you guys, but we love maps inspired by other games, and this is one of those. This map has recreated the figures of Mario mushrooms in a fun arena type map. The arena itself is a platform with a few traps so be careful when you jump because you might fall to your death or fall into a trap!

Parkour map! We always enjoy these, especially when they’re quite challenging as this map. As with most parkour maps, you’ll have to follow the road to get to the end, while jumping around platforms. This map also uses our sort of double jump feature, in which you jump and shoot the floor with your shotgun to get a higher jump. For this, you need to be quite precise, and that’s one of the things that makes this map so good! That and the monsters you need to face as well.
