Maps of the Week #24

Hello, everyone!

Sorry about the delay! But we had quite a few maps to check this week and I had limited internet for a few days.

The featured maps should be on its regular weekend-schedule next time, so don’t worry!

But now, let’s go to what everyone is waiting for... the maps!

Winners

	Title: alice demo Creator: Storm Lord ast Type: Co-Op Just wow. This is such a trippy and yet super interesting map! We really can’t believe the amount of design that this map has. Our tip is that nothing is what you think it is. The tricky part of this map is that it will make you feel safe and then immediately show you that you were not safe at the end. If you want a very different type of map, focused on aesthetic and the “experience” that you might get, this is your map.
	Title: snoop deathmatch Creator: berlin_power44 Type: FFA This is one of those arena maps where the map itself is a sort of platform where you can fight everyone. You’ll get a nice variety of weapons hidden in a few rooms that surround the arena. The best part of the arena is that it has different “levels” with stairs and jump-pads that you need to use to access them. So you can hide in some places, fight everyone, or maybe snipe your friends from above! The choice is yours.
	Title: Maze v2.0 Creator: X_NOWUDIE_X Type: Co-Op Maze maps are not the kind of map that we see a lot, so it’s always exciting to try one! And on top of that, this is a really good maze. We lost our way quite a few times, ended up where we started and so on. Plus, this map has quite a few enemies to shoot as well! (actually, as a hint, the bodies of said enemies were useful to check that we hadn’t been in that area before…). We’re sure you’ll enjoy it.
	Title: The Great War (1945) Creator: BloodTag 6 Type: Co-Op If you feel like killing a lot of enemies with different weapons, then this is your kind of map. This castle-like map basically gives you a few rooms filled with nazis and a few weapons to fight against them! You can simply shoot them or make them explode, it’s your choice.

Hello, everyone!

Yes, I know. We were supposedly going on hiatus with this as well, but we decided to keep it! It’s something that can be done abroad anyway ;)

FishPlay and the Community Playdates, however, will come back once I’m back at the office. But now, let’s get to the winners!

Winners

	Title: Lunar Alpha [PVP] Creator: Sabotur Type: FFA / Team Remember how we were asking for this? Well, we got it! This incredible campaign now has a FFA and Team map. This map resembles the lab area of the original campaign and we love it. With a nice variety of weapons and a nice design, we think this one is going to become a fan favourite!
	Title: Rosenschanze Creator: Dante Type: FFA A classic castle map for PVP! This map has a lot of rooms and a central arena where you can fight everyone. We liked the design and the look and feel of this one, as the creator paid a lot of attention to detail. And it's also quite fun! The map says it's for up to 4 players, but we think that with a lot of them, it could be just as good.
	Title: Raid: OMEGA Creator: xXcaboose321Xx Type: Co-Op The idea behind this map is pretty simple: Aliens have invaded your ship and now you have to get rid of them! This is a sort of short map, but it has a nice look and feel, and it can be quite challenging. There are quite a few enemies, so you’ll have to find a good strategy to confront them. Shoot your way through them or maybe snipe them from the shadows.
	Title: [SLr] Steamboat Creator: Storm Lord ast Type: FFA / Team This is one of those maps that works really well as a co-op map, as well as a multiplayer one! We’re really impressed by it because not only the design is pretty cool (it’s like the inside of a huge boat), but it’s also quite challenging. In the co-op, you’ll fight a lot of fast enemies and wow, we got a few scares there! There’s enemies everywhere. And in the multiplayer versions, well, you’ll have quite a good arena to fight your friends in!
	Title: Extreme Parkour! Creator: TopazGnu6415 Type: Co-Op A parkour map that lives up to its name! This map is one of the hardest parkour maps we’ve seen. There’s a lot of difficult jumps and in some cases, you won’t even know where to go next! You’ll also have to play a few tricks with your weapon to be able to finish this one! We died a lot trying it, but we had a lot of fun. Plus, at some point, it became a pride thing to be able to beat this map.

Hello, everyone!

Wow! This week was super hard! We have a lot of nominations by a community member, and we had a few good maps in our lists as well. That’s why we took a bit longer with this one. Well, that and a long weekend here in Australia.

We also wanted to say that the next maps of the week will be the last one in a month. I’m going on a holiday so these posts will go on hiatus, but don’t worry, we’ll be back with a special edition!

But now let’s go to the maps!

Winners

	Title: [SLr] Pole position Creator: Storm Lord ast Type: FFA / Team The description of this map is to Hit and run or run and hit! And that’s pretty much what this map is all about! Try to get a gun and shoot your enemies while you jump around the racecourse, or stop for a bit and go on foot while trying to hit the people who are jumping! This map has an interesting dynamic and we can’t wait to try it out with more people.
	Title: Dino Ruins Creator: ^4Shadowpuppy Type: FFA / Team We love really detailed ruins maps and this is one of them! The look and feel of this map is amazing, it kind of makes you feel like you’re in an Indiana Jones movie. This map has a lot of mazes and a few good traps that makes it challenging! Plus you have to remember that you’re fighting others, so surviving is going to be hard!
	Title: IRIDIS Creator: Anorexic_Buddah Type: FFA / Team Run & Gun type of map is the description for this one and it’s quite accurate! This is quite a big arena with a wide variety of weapons at your disposition. Grab a weapon and run because your enemies will be on your trail!
	Title: Doom Classic Creator: guitarplayer189 Type: Co-Op A tribute to a classic and what a good one! This map is very well balanced and the look and feel is exactly as a good old Doom level! You get different and better weapons as you progress, and a few other helpful things. However, things get more challenging as well! We can tell that this person knows how to make an exciting balanced map.
	Title: THE FALL OF THE GRID Creator: Christanite2244 Type: Co-Op / FFA / Team We’re surprised by how versatile this map is! It works in most of game modes, and it looks very cool. It’s one of those futuristic maps and the creator tried really hard to get the right look and feel… and it worked! Our only recommendation would be to add a bigger variety of weapons to make it more challenging, but otherwise, it’s pretty cool.

Community Playdate #12 (PS4) + Announcement!

Hello everybody!

We’re back on PS4, and this will be our last community playdate until the end of July!

I’m going on a holiday so we won’t be able to host the playdates for a month, but don’t worry, we’ll be back!

To play with us, just join the “Blowfish Community Playdate” room on PS4. Here are the details:

Platform: PS4

Room: Blowfish Community Playdate

Day and time: Tuesday, 14 June, 10:00 a.m. AEST (other time zones)

Server: AUS

Please feel free to join us whenever you want; we’ll probably be playing around 30 to 40 minutes, and the room will allow the maximum capacity of players.

We’ll be back on July 26 on Steam, and then we’ll go as usual! :)

Hello, everyone!

Just a quick reminder that if you want us to try a map in specific or so, you just need to send us a tweet or comment here! We’re always looking for cool maps to feature.

Winners

	Title: TRON 1982 Creator: Sabotur Type: FFA / Team We’ve mentioned before that we love this kind of futuristic look-and-feel in some maps, and this is one of them! But that’s not all, it’s also a fun map where you’re only given 1 weapon and quad damage in a very enclosed space. And there’s jump pads too! We’re keen to try this one with a bunch of people or as the description says, also in a 1v1 game!
	Title: [SLr] Tanker Creator: Storm Lord ast Type: Co-Op / FFA / Team This arena has the shape of a cargo boat and it’s huge! Fight your way through the alleys and different platforms of this boat while trying not to die yourself. We think this is the perfect kind of map to play with a lot of people, because there’s a lot of space and places to hide!
	Title: Team Battle Creator: Legendary118 Type: Team This map’s description is “classic Red vs Blue!” and that’s exactly it! This map doesn’t give you an specific look-and-feel and it doesn’t use a lot of tools, but it’s well designed! It’s little bit like a maze with a couple of puzzles, and it offers you tons of different weapons, this is the kind of map you want to play with friends.
	Title: SSR900 - ( Not Finished) Creator: Prototroid Type: Co-Op This map is apparently not finished yet, but what we could test of it was really good! Quite confusing and challenging, if you want a good maze map, this is the map you want to try. There are lots of ways you can take and a lot of puzzles to solve to be able to progress. Every room has a purpose! And you also get a few good guns, so that works, right?
