Maps of the Week #13

Hello, everyone!

Since last week, we’ve started featuring maps that you guys are nominating as well! Well, we hope to keep that, and feel free to send us your favourite maps anytime!

This time, the PS4 community helped us again and wow, they definitely have good maps! Remember to join the community if you play on that console ;)

And don’t worry, we’re still featuring our picks too. We want to feature as many maps as we can because you guys are amazing.

Winners

Title: Mouth of the Beast

Creator: Sabotur

Type: Co-Op

[PS4 Community nomination] Sometimes we find maps that mix different themes and kinds of enemies, and when it works, when everything feels like it belongs and it’s part of the same map, we get really impressed! This is one of those maps! A quite fun and well designed map that integrates a lot of different things from most of our themes! And near the end, there’s this part of the map that looks kind of futuristic and we’re not going to lie, we wish that that part of the map was a FFA map, because it was fun!

Title: Sub-Aqua

Creator: guitarplayer189

Type: Co-Op / Team

[PS4 Community nomination] This map looks like a mansion! Elegant and with some fun weapons we don’t normally see on multiplayer maps. It’s also bigger than what it looks like, allowing players to hide and camp if they want to do so.

Title: Creep-City Corner

Creator: Ectoccult

Type: FFA

[PS4 Community nomination] This map honours its name; it’s like a haunted city, or well, a creepy city! With houses and buildings you can get into, you’ll have plenty of places to hide, and weapons to discover. Plus this map is quite big! So if you want to play a map with a lot of people, this might be good for you.

Title: Tatooine

Creator: HelloKityWarfare

Type: FFA / Team

We’re going to be honest and say that we picked this map because it’s a nice tribute to Star Wars! We’re all a bit of a geek, and who doesn’t enjoy a SW themed map? Especially if it’s well made like this one!

Title: triple rex

Creator: ruthandpaul

Type: Co-op

This map is exactly what the name says: a map with 3 T-Rex bosses waiting for you. We love our detailed maps, but we also like to have some fun simply killing bosses and feeling the thrill of being chased by a few of them! Plus this map gives you a nice variety of weapons to begin with so it’s up to you to fight your way through the map!

Enjoying any other maps? Just finished your own and want us to check it out? Leave us a comment below with the name of it and we’ll test it! And if you think that we missed any good map, let us know too!

Hey Patricia,

Could you please check-out the first 3 levels of my campaign which is still under construction (maybe 3 or 4 more levels to come).

The 1st level is Lunar Alpha Base, the 2nd is Lunar Habitat. I will be making small adjustments to both of those levels and any advice would be amazing.

The 3rd level (Lunar Health Hub), I made as a multiplayer level but have tried to incorporate it into the campaign aswell. Since it was being built for MP I kept the level fairly small. In this level I have introduced a key as a gameplay function for MP - keeping an area only accessible to players who teleport there and get the key - they basically get the rocket launcher, speargun and a bunch of ammo but with the downside of being away from the main CTF flanking routes, so I'm hoping that makes it fairly balanced. The routes to both "IN" teleporters take the same amount of time to get to from the start of the match, and theres only one "OUT" teleporter which is where the key is, making the out teleporter position a strategic area to protect (a bit like a choke) and if the proximity mines are brought in this would be a perfect place to put them. The time it takes to get to the flag on both flanks is the same so I was thinking the teleport out position might be more balanced if it is closer to the other flank to balance the map better.

I was thinking of making a separate area for the campaign and maybe to teleport to it on killing the boss since the level can be played very quickly to get to to the current boss. I will be adding more variety of enemies aswell. Any thoughts and any advice on any aspect of this level is much appreciated and I take feedback very well, so please rip it to pieces.

And thanks for bringing us such a great game! I really love it, just wish it was more than a handful of players when I want to shoot my maps.

Hello!

We'd love to test your campaign and give you some tips :) We like playing as many community-made maps as we can.

I'll try to test it soon and to get back to you in a couple of days, if possible. You should find my opinion as a comment here!
