Featured Maps #6

What’s up everyone!

Welcome to the sixth edition of our Featured Maps! We’re happy to see that this has been well received, and that we’re getting suggestions and opinions about our recs!

But remember to send us maps to check out, whether they’re new or old, we want to try your maps and we want to feature them!

We also wanted to mention that we won’t have a new Featured Maps post until after the holidays. The studio closes during the week between Christmas and New Years, so we’ll be back on January 5th!

Winners

Title: One Piece: Thousend Sunny

Creator: Mac_Aroni

Type: FFA

As the map tells you, this map is inspired on the anime One Piece! That anime is about pirates and this map is basically a pirate ship waiting to be raided. With a lot of platforms and a nice variety of weapons, there is a lot to discover in this map. There is also an arena in the middle where you can fight everyone, but if your thing is to snipe people from above, then you will also have good sniper spots… if you can get to them.

Title: [LOOP] The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time/Kokiri Forest

Creator: LoopyFun369

Type: Co-Op

If you like that Zelda look and feel, then you’re going to love this map. While this map is a bit short, it will make you feel like you’re playing a Zelda game. With NPC’s that might send you here and there, getting some secret weapons, and confronting (or escaping from!) some enemies, you’ll have a bit of everything. What blew us away was the design though, as it’s a good homage to the actual Zelda game.

Title: Q Fortress [ARENA]

Creator: bernardodepaulao

Type: FFA

The description of this map says that there are 3 paths, 4 weapons, 2 invulnerabilities and 2 quad damage power ups. The challenge of this map is not only to get killed by your opponents, but also to be able to get to the weapons you might need before someone kills you! We’re sure this map would work well with small groups (a group of 4 would be good!) but also with bigger ones if everyone’s fighting to get the limited resources!

Title: TR-1

Creator: amradioi

Type: Co-Op

This map is about a virus that has infected every video game ever, and now it’s your job to kill the virus! If you want a map that it is mostly about killing enemies (really, there are a loooot, and you won’t have that many weapons), then this it the map for you. Challenging and fun, but it can also be frustrating if you died as many times as I did. It will be a good test to your patience and your flight or fight ability, as sometimes you might have to flee instead of trying to kill everything.

Featured Maps #5

We're also bringing FishPlay back next week and we hope you're looking forward to that!

Title: Freighter 46

Creator: KneonT

Type: Co-Op

The first three parts of this campaign are up and we can tell you that we’ve been enjoying them a lot! This map isn’t so much about enemies (but you do get a fair bit of action!) as it is about the story and how well designed the whole place is. Lots of puzzles to solve and a lot of walking around the map as well. Also the enemies might surprise you… I got the equivalent of a jump scare at some point and it was well planned!

Title: Cem VS Mac

Creator: Mac_Aroni

Type: Team

This is one of those maps that might appear simple, but has a bit of everything. You have a nice variety of weapons, buildings where you can hide, trampolines that let you get to the top areas of the buildings, an arena where you can fight, and also a trap (in the form of lava that covers pretty much everything…). This seems to be a good option to play with your friends and in different game modes!

Title: The Box

Creator: Dominator

Type: FFA / Team

Most FFA or Team games have the players fighting each other, but this map gives the formula a twist. Instead of only fighting your opponents, here you’ll have to defend yourself from the environment as well! It’s a little bit like the floor is lava, except the floor is electricity. And with weapons that require close combat, then you’ll have to travel a bit to get to your opponent and kill them, so be careful!

Title: Air Arena

Creator: Charles V

Type: FFA / Team

We always like it when you guys come up with new ways of using our tools, and we think this map does that. Instead of using trampolines or teleporters, this map uses the swords in our new DLC, and their ability to teleport you to other places (hint: right click to get teleported winkwink). The map is basically an arena in the mid-air, and you have to teleport from platform to platform to be able to move around. That combined with your classic FFA or Team modes makes this a quite fun map!

Featured Maps #4

What’s up everyone!

We’re here with the fourth edition of our Featured Maps! (and this time is on time haha!). We have a lot of of FFA and Team maps this week, so we hope that you get online with your friends and have some fun with these ones!

And now, let's go to the maps!

Winners

Title: Desert Town

Creator: Xanato8

Type: FFA

This is quite a big arena-type of map that will certainly be fun! As the name says, this map is modelled after a town in the middle of a desert. It has a lot of “canteens” and other wooden buildings and you can find quite a nice variety (and amount) of weapons, include a few that are quite powerful! So even if you have a small group, this map would still work because you have 1HKO weapons. And as a tip, the best weapons are in the biggest building ;)

Title: Ghetto

Creator: Zodiac5517

Type: FFA

This map is a medium-sized arena that simulates a small city! As you would expect in a city or town, you will find a few buildings and all of these have different entrances, so you might have to explore them a bit to be able to get in. Once inside, you will be able to get a few weapons, but don’t worry, you can also find weapons on the streets and ground level! We would also recommend to look up, as you might be able to find treasures on top of the buildings.

Title: Farcry 6 arena 2

Creator: xXxkubaxXx

Type: Team

This map feels like you’re playing either on hell or inside of a volcano. You might have seen these maps that look like a cube arena, where you have rooms on each side of the cube, a center area, and a cross of bridges that connects the sides. This map also has two levels, and while going up can be kind of slow, it’s quite a good map for a small group that wants a “contained” area where nobody can escape and there aren’t many places to hide.

Title: Beaver Creek

Creator: QuickSix-

Type: FFA / Team

This might look like a simple map, but it’s quite good! It’s definitely a big map that resembles an arena (it’s enclosed, but still quite spacious). You don’t only have bridges, platforms and quite a few buildings where you can find some treasures (cough weapons cough), but also hidden underground passages with different exits, that connect certain areas of the arena. This is definitely recommended for bigger groups, as it would be easy to hide if you have a small group.

Featured Maps #3

What’s up, everyone!

Welcome to the third edition of Featured Maps! Sorry about the delay, but we’ve been a bit busy with PAX Australia and the Switch release of Morphite!

But we’re here and next edition should be on time! And now, let's get to the maps.

Winners

Title: Code 2099

Creator: SquidVicious2

Type: Co-Op

This map has definitely everything. From a compelling story you can immerse into to a really good design and look-and-feel. The map makes a good use of our fog feature, making the player struggle to see where to go and struggle to see enemies ahead. And that just adds a sense of thrill to the map! The map is also well balanced, so expect to get just the right amount of weapons, health and ammo to fight monsters. We also know this is a campaign that is a wip at the moment, so expect a fully fleshed campaign! We’re sure you’re gonna like it.

Title: glitcher

Creator: LegoSuperNik

Type: Co-Op

We’ve seen a lot of maps that use the different features that Gunscape has to offer, like traps, environmental blocks and such, but this might be the first time that we see someone using all of the “glitches” that the game has. This map isn’t only a test for your wit, but also a sort of tutorial on how to use certain blocks, weapons and the environment in general. If you wanna find out more about how some Gunscape blocks work, or if you just want a map to test the environment a bit, this is the map for you!

Title: Tremor: Chapters 1 and 2

Creator: Qwartii

Type: Co-Op

If you want a map that isn’t a maze but feels like a mess, this is the map for you! The design of the map itself, in terms of where everything is located, is quite intricate, and you’ll find that you’ll have to go through the same place a few times, but every time will be to go to a different direction. The look-and-feel is also pretty good, as the map does make you feel like you’re in a waste treatment plant or facility. And you also have a few enemies and weapons to fight them, so it’s a bit of everything in one map!

Title: infested part one (°  _  ° )

Creator: methodman agg

Type: Co-Op

As the name says, this map is all about an infestation that has taken over the people in that place. If you go by the suggested ratios of item and enemy respawn, it can be quite challenging! As you’ll always have someone after you, but that’s part of the fun, right? If you change those settings, then it’s easier, but still exciting. Also this is part one of a campaign, so even if the map is a bit short, we think the whole campaign will be good!

Featured Maps #2

What’s up, everyone!

We're here with the second edition of our Gunscape Featured Maps!

We're quite excited because we're happy to see that we're getting suggestions from the community! This week, we have a couple of people who asked us to check their maps and we loved them!

Winners

Title: [LOOP] GOLDENEYE JUNGLE

Creator: LoopyFun369

Type: Co-Op

Another map in the Goldeneye series, and like most of these, it’s a good one! The look-and-feel makes you feel like you’re in a real jungle, and even if the storyline is quite short, it helps to the general feel of the map. If you leave the original settings, you’ll have plenty of ammo and health to survive, but if you want a challenge, you can always lower the respawn rate. There are enough enemies to fight anyway, so we’re sure you’ll have fun with this one!

Title: Abandoned

Creator: jackthejollykid

Type: Co-Op

The design of this map is simply amazing. In some way, it might make you feel like you’re in an open world map, where there are some paths that don’t really lead anywhere important, but help to the look-and-feel of the map, and well, they also make the puzzles a lot harder. You will get enough items, and the map is quite balanced in terms of enemies. This map is also part of a campaign, and I’m sure that you’re gonna enjoy the whole campaign!

Title: Velleartha

Creator: Spikey4444

Type: FFA / Team

This might look like a simple map for some people, but it’s actually more complex than it apparently looks like! As an arena, it works pretty well. You get a nice variety of weapons (from our new DLC as well!) and the area is big enough that a lot of people can play together (or well… against each other), but it’s also contained. There are certain rooms with special items though, and rooms where you could hide or camp for a bit. Also… there’s a secret, but you’ll have to discover that yourself!

Title: Hide & Seek

Creator: AZ_Killz-_-

Type: Team

This map is quite an interesting concept. In here, as the description says, the map is basically a hide and seek game. The blue team is given a chance to hide in a series of buildings that are all built like mazes with a lot of rooms and halls to hide. And well, the red team has to chase and kill them! It’s the originality what drew us to this map and we think that with a good number of people, this would be a fun one!

Title: The Great Dam V1.5

Creator: Potato

Type: FFA

The map is exactly what you would expect from the title: it’s a huge dam! With a really nice design and look-and-feel, this map definitely makes you feel like a dam might be the perfect arena to fight on. This is a medium sized map, perfect for a small or a bigger group. The arena area itself is quite big, but there are also a few rooms that you can explore (and that might give you a few good weapons).

And remember that if you’re enjoying any other map, or if you just finished your own and want to show us, just leave a comment here or on our forum, or drop us a message on any of our social media accounts!
