Maps of the Week #38

Hi, everyone!

We have all kinds of maps for all tastes this week! They’re all quite different in themes too, so we’re sure you’ll find something good.

Winners

Title: Factory

Creator: SmickoDaGrinner

Type: FFA

As the name says, this map has the layout of a factory, and such a good one! The map itself isn’t too big, which makes it perfect for both big and small groups, and it features an outside and inside area. The inside area is the factory itself and it has a cool look-and-feel, as well as giving you the perfect kind of arena to fight others. Get a weapon that suit you, avoid some traps and you’re set!

Title: city 1v1

Creator: CCGamer #TeamPyro

Type: FFA / Team

The look-and-feel of this map can be quite simple, but don’t get fooled! This is still a quite good map with a nice design. While it says that it’s a 1v1 map, we think it can work with a few more people as well, as the map is not too small, and it has different places to access. You will also find some areas with acid spills, just like in some popular city maps, and this will make it more challenging.

Title: WW1 trench war

Creator: 4hands45

Type: Team

This map’s description says that it resembles a WWI trench combat area with command bases at each side, and that’s pretty much it! We love that the trenches are a sort of maze, and that each team has their own command area, where they can get some weapons and retreat if it’s necessary! You’ll have to fight in the trenches though, and you might get a few powerups there… so go fight for your nation!

Title: Choose a side red or blue

Creator: andequalsalso

Type: Co-Op

This is a different type of map than what we’re used to see! It’s more of a “choose your adventure” map and we love that. You basically have to choose between two different rooms with different difficulties levels. There are weapons and some power-ups in both rooms, so it’s up to you to decide who you’d like to fight! It’s a short map, but you’ll have fun picking sides and defeating monsters.

Enjoying any other maps? Just finished your own and want us to check it out? Leave us a comment below with the name of it and we’ll test it! And if you think that we missed any good map, let us know too!

Maps of the Week #37

Hi, everyone!

This week, we have a big variety of maps! We think there’s something for everyone here :)

Winners

Title: Life on Mars

Creator: Megabyte

Type: Co-Op

You’re on a Mars research facility, following your life as normal, when suddenly, aliens attack the facility! It is your job, then, to defeat them and survive. But it’s not going to be easy, because while this map gives you the resources you need to defeat the aliens, there are quite a few powerful ones! And a boss as well! Definitely a map that packs a lot of fun.

Title: Uprising of the Martions

Creator: Astro_Alvin

Type: Co-Op / FFA / Team

Lots of space related maps this week! This map is sort of small, but that’s what makes it work as a campaign, as well as a multiplayer map. Don’t get the wrong idea though! Even as a campaign, the map has good monsters and a boss that will make it challenging. The look-and-feel of this map is pretty good as well. The creator played around with the lights, making everything look red-ish, which makes you feel like you’re actually in Mars.

Title: Parkour Challenges

Creator: Quirinus

Type: Co-Op

We had missed seeing parkour maps! And this is definitely a good one. It won’t only make you jump around platforms to progress, but you will get to certain areas where you also have to avoid traps… and to fight enemies! Not easy enemies either, so as the name says, this map can be quite a challenge.

Title: Ninilanth s competition

Creator: TheCrafter

Type: FFA / Team

An arena type of map inspired on a challenge by Nihilanth, Half-Life’s main and final boss! This map has the shape of a square with different levels or platforms that you can access using the jump-pads. You’ll find a lot of different and powerful weapons. Seriously, most of these ones are almost 1HKO weapons! So it’s quite fun. There’s also a pool of acid on the bottom of the map, so make sure not to fall!

Maps of the Week #36

Hi, everyone!

This week, we have all sorts of short or small maps, but they’re all quite different and fun! So we hope you enjoy them.

Winners

Title: Jungle Village

Creator: TheCrafter

Type: FFA / Team

A sort of small jungle and temple-like map! Don’t get us wrong, though, this map might be small in comparison to others, but it’s very well designed! You get the weapons you need, and you can also decide to jump around the map to escape, if you prefer that. Plus, this jungle also comes with a temple area, and yes! You can get inside the temple, and maybe you’ll find a secret there. Maybe.

Title: Death Bowl

Creator: Tacky 86

Type: FFA

This map is basically what the name says: a death bowl. It’s a small coliseum or bowl type of map, where you get a really big variety of weapons (really, there’s something for everyone here!), and you’ll have to jump and run around the map to kill your enemies. While the design is pretty simple, this kind of mechanic is always fun and it’s suitable for both small and large groups of people.

Title: Enemy Madness Chpt. 3

Creator: Cpt. FreeKiller

Type: Co-Op

The third part of what promises to be an interesting campaign. This campaign makes you feel like you’re jumping different dimensions or worlds. Each part basically uses a different theme, and makes you fight different monsters and bosses. While each part is small, it can be quite challenging, as you’ll only get limited resources, and some parts even include traps and parkour!

Title: Dino Reluska Chaptor 1

Creator: Cpt. FreeKiller

Type: Co-Op

Another map by this creator, and it looks like they have lots of good ideas! This one is a sort of prehistoric jungle map, and we love it. As an actual jungle, there’s a chance you might get lost in this map. You have to go back and forth a lot and solve puzzles to be able to progress, and well, of course, avoid some traps in your way! A short but fun map.

Title: Portal

Creator: UsualRocket7846

Type: Co-Op

This map is quite interesting. In design and look-and-feel, it’s a bit different to what we usually see. It does have some portal mechanics (made with our teleporters), and well, it reminds you of the game as well! While the map is only a few rooms, and you might finish it fast, it’s the aesthetic what got our attention, and making us realise that a Portal map is totally a possibility!
